Faulty TV

We bought a tv from Asda less than a year ago, and it is still under Warranty. It has developed a fault on the screen so obviously we want to return it for a refund or exchange, however as we put the tv straight onto the wall the box and the stand were not needed so were discarded, will we still be able to return it? We do have the receipt.

Shouldn't be an issue, depends on the terms of the warranty. Worth having a read through of them. Note that a warranty is different to your consumer rights.

The retailer has a right to repair the TV also and that's there choice
If they do give you a refund they have a right to reduce the refund if you've had it over 6 months, also returning a tv without a stand would reduce the refund further if they wanted to
Tv without stand is the same as returning a table without legs

Yes, this advice is spot on.
They will likely attempt a repair rather replace / refund and they’re allowed to do that.

Is it an ASDA warranty or  TV warranty from the manufacturer .
In that will ASDA handle the warranty .
