Hi hope someone might be able to help.

We are flying to Spain starting our journey in England but flying via Glasgow airport. Return journey is the same.

On our return should we be following the Scottish rules as it is point of entry or the English rules with it being final destination.

Entry testing rules are slightly different so want to make sure don’t get caught up by making a mistake. We are double jabbed travelling with younger kids.

I rang public health England today and was told they ‘think’ we may need to follow Scottish arrival procedure but best ring Scottish public health to check! They don’t open till tomorrow and wondered if anyone had any insight on similar dealings.

thanks in advance.

If you arrive in Scotland you have to follow Scottish rules.
Although, I am not sure if the rules are any different from the English ones for vaccinated people arriving from Amber countries.?

You fall under the rules of the country that you arrive in from overseas so it will be the Scottish rules.
  • Thanks for the quick replies folks. I did try searching the forum first but drew a blank.

    Cheers

For Scotland you have to use one specific test supplier.

As above in Scotland you get ripped off by having a choice of 1 PCR supplier.
As travel opens up I have no idea how Scotgov can justify this.
