    Good morning!

Morning_walker, there is no hiding from the fact that sugar gives us that boost when we're down (whether we like it or not!).  I hope this week will be a happier one for you.  Well done for keeping going - the hardest part is to stop yourself from giving up.  We can do this :).  Wishing you a good week ahead 🍀.

Honey_Bear, I'm sorry that you're still suffering with Covid-19.  Normally, I'd celebrate your weight loss but this sounds awful.  I hope you are feeling better soon.  A friend told me that they started to feel better after the 6th day but I think you're already past that.  I had it very early on, before there was much data, so I don't remember when I started to feel better.  I hope you are resting and that you will be feeling better soon 🤞.

This week, I'm going to aim for four sugar-free days plus I'll try and stay sugar-free until Friday evening.  I'm feeling quite tired today and I know that is always a warning sign for my sugar cravings so I'm going to have lunch a bit earlier in the hope that it stops me from indulging later.

Take care everyone and hope you have a good week ahead ☀️.

Good morning Cookie!  Thank you for your concern.  You'll be pleased to know that I'm feeling brighter today and although Belovéd is still testing positive he's feeling more chipper at last as well.   I did start to eat things yesterday that I know I'm probably better off avoiding if I want to lose weight - the last of the jelly babies, some cheese that was going past it's best that is too good to waste etc) yesterday - things weren't too bad when I weighed myself this morning.

I'm back with you on the sugar-free until Saturday, sans chocolate until Sunday this week, on track.  No more excuses!

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, Honey_Bear :).  I think it's always a good sign when your appetite starts to come back (even if it might lead in a sugary direction!).

Here, I fell at the first hurdle today.  The hot cross buns got me 😬.  I will try harder tomorrow as I don't want one lapse today to turn into a whole week of sugar.

I also fell at the first hurdle Cookie, so you're not alone.   I ate chocolate this evening.  *sigh*

Confession time - today was neither a sugar-free nor a chocolate-free day.  Just couldn't hack it.

I didn't eat any sugar yesterday but I had dinner with a friend and made the mistake of picking a cocktail.  I should have put a straw in a bottle of maple syrup, it would probably have been healthier!  I've been ok so far today but I'm not sure if I'll hold out.

I hope the chocolate is helping to keep your spirits up and that you are feeling better, Honey_Bear!

Good morning!  Well, I almost made it through sugar-free yesterday and then I had a virtual meeting with someone really annoying and I ate a cookie afterwards.  I knew that I would be annoyed with myself later but that didn't stop me.  It happens.  Today, I'm back to square one and will try to stay sugar-free.

I hope all of you are well (or getting there) and that you are having a good day☀️.  Good luck with meeting your goals for today.

Good morning Cookie, and thanks for posting.  It looks as though we're both still learning what triggers us to eat sugar.  That's a really good thing to know even though we can't avoid stressful situations or feeling grim, the reality is that sugar is a great comfort food.
I made it through yesterday although I have started feeling a bit under the weather again.  I tested positive again yesterday so it looks as though it will be at least 10 days before I'm clear of the virus, which according to several friends who have had it isn't abnormal.  My throat was bad yesterday and is still very scratchy today so I'm not pushing myself, and if I have to administer medicinal sugar or chocolate I will.  I found myself going through the cupboard last night looking for the jar of a nut chocolate butter thing, a bit like peanut butter but a chocolatey one.  I found an unopened one but it looks as though I'd finished the one I really liked.  In the end I ate so much at dinner I didn't wnat anything else so that was helpful.  I wish I could say I felt better today but I'm still feeling as though I have a cold, and over a week on that's frustrating.
    Better is good enough.

This week, as C19 drones on in my life, has not been chocolate-free, and to cheer myself up I've just binged in the same way I used to before I started this Challenge.  I'm sorry I did it, but to be honest sometimes there are things that I do whether or not I should and chocolate today was necessary.  I'm hoping that's it now until Easter but I can't guarantee it.
I've actually had a reasonably good day in terms of energy, for the first time since I went down with the plague, so things are on the up. I think I'm just sick and tired of feeling under the weather.
    Tomorrow's another day.
    Better is good enough.
