    What is the current reading and what was the reading you took when you joined BG?
    Current = 3329
    Opening = 1071
    Looking at those meter reads  - was your meter been changed since you've lived there ?
    Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    Have you done this which I asked for earlier :smile:

    Check the serial number of the meter itself with that shown in your bill.   The meter seems to be a metric one recording in m3.  Does the bill show cu ft or m3
    I have ... The serial number is the old meter that was replaced in 2017. The bill doesn't state cu ft or M3 but lists the number of units "at 39.5 calorfic value".

    Problem solved then - the meter reading and billing systems have got out of sync.

    Write - don't email or phone - a snail mail letter  headed COMPLAINT to BG.   Give account number, dates of change (a copy of the yellow sticker that gave the serial numbers and dates)
