Hi guys, I need to rent somewhere for my family for about 3 months while we have building work done.
Is there a better option than Airbnb? It looks like it will cost an absolute fortune!

Are you somewhere there might be out-of-season holiday accommodation available?
It's part of the cost of your building work...1 -
A normal AST can be for a week, a month, 3 months etc... 'sfunny how many lettings agents are not aware of this.
My son, wife & 3 kids were in same boat. Found a flexible landlord who was happy.
In my experience buildings works almost always take longer & cost more... so don't be too specific on length.1 -
I needed a short term rent last year; I found 2 places on gumtree that were happy to do 3 months and I eventually moved in to another via friends landlord. I would say gumtree is a good start but be careful not to be scammed.1

Could ask on a local FB group. I've seen success stories locally for short rentals.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*1

Thanks guys. Maybe the local fb group thing should be the first port of call. We might just get lucky!0
