Ebay Dead For Selling of Antiques

Hi,
Please can anyone explain why people are still spending a lot of money at antiques and general auctions etc when no one is buying anything on Ebay?
Ebay is now dead with no one spending any monies at all. It does not make sense as Ebay has generally been the main platform to sell things online.
The fact they have put up their charges, always favour the buyer in any disputes and do stupid item specifics all the time is no doubt turning people elsewhere.
I have my own website but that does not generate any revenue either which is rather frustrating,
Best Wishes
James

Antiques generally are dead , the younger generation don’t want clutter, and the older generations are selling off what they have. I do still sell reasonably well , but on various Facebook groups rather than ebay, although in the past month I have had a couple of decent sales on ebay and also on Etsy. You just have to look at collectables like Riyal Doulton ladies, I have bought at around £5 each at auctions on occasions and even then I struggled to sell with any profit, yet when I started in this game they were still fetching £50 a piece. Wedgwood Jasper ware has virtually no value, and even Chinese soapstone is barely worth bothering with.I just look at my own sons , they have very little clutter, perhaps a vase from IKEA, or a holder for tea lights, but nothing else.I moved into collectables rather than antiques and even those are beginning to die off.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
