Hello, This is my first post and I am at my wits end as I can't believe I've been so stupid. My husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer therefore as I wasn't working I received carers allowance along with UC - I had to visit the job centre once and was told that I was in a group where I wasn't expected to look for work…

Easy to say, but really don't worry about the interview. Simply be honest and explain the timeline to them. If you can put bank statements together in advance that will be helpful as they will almost certainly ask for them anyway.
