have a lenovo ideapad every so often it disconnects from internet ,dosent happen on my mobile phone so assume its a problem with laptop any ideas why this is happening & how to resolve the problem thanks

Wi-Fi or wired connection?

You could try installing a WiFi analyser app on your phone and positioning it next to your laptop to see what signal strength you are getting and also what other strong signals may be disrupting the connection.
You may need to change the WiFi channel on your router if a neighbour is on the same one and swamping your signal with their own.0 -
give a bit more info , what model of Ideapad is it, Windows 10, what is your router is the ideapad a long way from the router they would be some of the questions you will need to answer.
