Please can anyone help, I took a lump sum from my pension, and have been taxed at 40%, I completed the P55 in June, and it is still showing no progress.
Has anyone else had the same problem, if so, do you have a contact number or any help how I can chase this up.
Thank you

HMRC are running slow at the moment (nearly across the board). June to early August is not very long. So, give it more time.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.1

Last year my P55 online completion took 3 weeks to receive the tax refund.
However, during the current tax year, it took longer as they are running very slowly. I had applied on 28.4.21 and received the refund into my account 3.7.21, so a total of 10 weeks.
You could try phoning Inland Revenue on 0300 200 3300, but be prepared to wait a long time for an agent to take your call!0
