Thanks Mehefin.mehefin said:Wicked Lady
Go for the cataract op.. It was life changing for me, although Mrs M finds it funny when i go looking for my 'reading' glasses. After 50+ years of wearing them it is strange to not have to IYSWIM. Good luck.

I did have the other eye operated on in 2013 so now I will definitely lose my close sight but I'm looking forward to being able to see properly in the distance. I guess I've been short sighted all my life, but it wasn't picked up until I changed school at age 11 and kept getting my French wrong as I couldn't read the words on the board properly. Contact lenses were the way forward for me.

Morning all
Raining here too but we are meant to have sunshine hopefully it will come out later.
I have a wash on the go, the throws from the sofa which were looking a bit grubby and a V pillow which I had for after my op last November and I am still using its very comfortable and I prefer sleeping with it now.
Im waiting in for a parcel today its a big one so I have to be here to sign for it, I will have to take the dogs out but just hope that it does not come in the hour that im out, I will leave a note on the door just in case.
Burger in a bun tonight with maybe a few chips and salad, I picked my shopping up last night so we have a full fridge again.
Gers hope all goes well today I shall be thinking of you on your last day in mums flat xxxx
Bella I hope the dog lady can help your poor dog xxxx

not not a good start to my morning
, managed to drop a box of six eggs the mess is incredible. Have got the worst up and mopped the floor. I am waiting for it to dry and I expect it will need a second wash. I have cancelled a couple of friends who were going to visit this morning as I am in a lot of pain. Going to try reading to take my mind off things. A lady in our village has just had both cataracts done and she is very happy and amazed at the difference12 -

Morning everyone
Still in my pyjamas - just been getting a few jobs done.
Managed to get all my gardening done yesterday - grass cut front and back and edges trimmed and all the little weeds out from between the paving stones - I was pleased with myself! It all looks nice and tidy till it grows again.
Went out for tea with DD and little one. The place we went to has a little soft play area so little one had a play before and after her tea - she loved it and was bouncing about all over the place. There's also a play park outside so she had a turn on the slide and swing - she squealed as DD pushed her really high - just as DD used to do when she was two.
A grey drizzly start to the day here. I'm going to go down to sort a drawer out for dad shortly - he like to give me jobs to do when I'm on school holidays!
Then little one will be coming after nursery to stay the night - we have a pile of library books we haven't looked at yet so will get cosy with those before bed.
Gers - hope the day goes well for you - it will be a sad day locking your mums front door for the last time.
ScarletRibbons - some kids toys and books go for quite a lot on ebay.
Poppy - I hope your day improves
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all, it's dry here atm, but we had biblical amounts of rain yesterday so I've ordered the Ark again as the rain is forecast to last all through next week.I managed to sort out the spare bedroom yesterday, it's now sparkling from ceiling to floor. Unfortunately Demolition Dora was in control of moving the spare bed and managed to snap a castor clean off
I'm going to blame the manufacturer..... Mr Fix It, for shoddy workmanship 🤭 We now need a visit to a certain DIY shop to buy replacement and we'll buy a spare one too, just in case Demolition Dora breaks another !I checked my upstairs store cupboard for anything really OOD, only 3 packets of dried stuff, but that was 3 too many so I must keep a better watch on things. The fridge got a sort through and a clean out and there's some bacon that needs eating up today, so it will be bacon and eggs for tea.The DW is already on and I have to send in my meter readings but that's all, unless I steel myself to tackle the office of doom 😰😬TA happy birthday to your youngest DGD.Florence Belated happy anniversary.Poppy I hope the pain subsides soon.Right another coffee and a web wanderHave a good day all, Take carenan xx
