Landlord Query about Serving Notice

    You could offer them a decent sum of money to move out with shorter notice. I suspect it will have to be a significant sum.
    I'm happy to wait, and would rather not pay to be honest.

    That is an option I was looking at but I wasn;t sure of the legal implications. I'll look in to this also.

    Inherited eh?  Depending on when tenant 1st moved in it might not be an AST (even with shiny new signed agreement) so no s21, would never apply.

    Ask tenant when they 1st moved in (or other evidence eg when place built).

    Done any landlord law training please?

    When you inherited did you serve s48 and S3 notice(s)?  If not, no rent due (s48) and possible fines and criminal charge (S3)
