I have just been sent a parking charge notice for over staying at Moto Rugby.  The date of issue of this notice was 13/07/2021 and it arrived yesterday 4/8/2021.  If I pay within 14 days i.e. 27/7/2021 then the fee is reduced to £60 otherwise its £100.  As it was impossible to meet the deadline I have sent a letter and the £60.  So by sending a letter which arrives 8 days after the deadline it was always impossible to meet it.  I think this is fraud.  Has anyone else experienced this situation.  If we go to court I will demand proof of postage.

Is the address on your V5C correct and current? When was the V5C issued?

You would be better off posting this on the parking section of the forum, it's highly likely they've seen this type of thing many times although the reply regarding checking your V5C is correct.

You've paid it?

Assuming you're the RK for your vehicle (and the V5C name/address is correct) then the PCN was too late to hold the keeper liable for the charge.

Yes they had my VC5/ name & address correct.  I paid the £60 fine as Full & Final Settlement. They wanted an extra £40 for being late. I have today 9/8/2021 received a reminder.  Date of issue 30/7/2021 so this is proof again that they date letters way befor the post them.

This issue is now being progressed on the Parking Board.
