email replies to companies

i wonder if anyone can tell me when you need to reply to a person in a particular company who has responded to you directly how can you ensure that this goes back to that person specifically.

i recall there is a code to type in the email if i recall but i cant be sure



anyone help please

    I'm not really sure I understand? Are you talking about receiving an email from [EMAIL="'sales@mydomain.com'"]'sales@mydomain.com'[/EMAIL] and making sure your reply gets through to 'Bob'? Often companies have email tracking systems that assign your first email a unique ID, and then use that ID to make sure the relevant person gets follow up emails. If so, unless you have that unique ID in your old email store somewhere, you won't be able to get back to the person you are after.

    I'm pretty sure there is nothing you can type in your email that will make it get through to the correct person in a generic way ... apart from obviously sending an email to their personal address ([EMAIL="bob@mydomain.com"]bob@mydomain.com[/EMAIL] for example).

    I suspect you are remembering an old email which said 'make sure you include this ID in your email so that it gets to the right person'. If so, you're probably out of luck unless you have all your old email stored (and even then, there's only a slim chance it'll work).
