"Free" gift substituted with Magazine subscription

My son and I took out a subscription to a camera magazine. They offered a camera backpack as a gift. Nowhere did state that this might be substituted or that they may run out of stock. It arrived today and is of lesser value than advertised by about £20 plus it is much smaller than the one they said they would send therefore making it unsuitable for purpose. We only took this out because of the size of the backpack.
I've emailed the company and am awaiting a reply but what rights, if any, do I actually have?

I would expect there is a term somewhere that it can be substituted.
Do you have a link to the offer?0 -
In the actual ad there was nothing about subs, see the screenshot. Once you've taken a sub out, you get this https://www.mymagazine.co.uk/SubAndTermsConditions

That screenshot states for full terms see https://www.magazinesdirect.com/corporate/terms-and-conditions/#wg
Which states
"If the subscription offer includes a welcome gift, this gift is subject to availability and will be delivered separately within 60 days after your first payment has been taken. Future Publishing Limited reserves the right to supply an alternative gift of the same or higher value."
Its clear in the terms they can substitute. But the alternative should be of same or higher value.
So you are going to have to argue that the gift you received is of lower value than what you were expecting.0 -

Subscription gifts.
(1) From time to time Future Publishing Limited will run subscription offers on its titles for new subscribers which may include incentive gifts. These gifts are only available to subscribers on the UK mainland.
(2) Gifts are subject to availability and strictly limited on a first come first serve basis
