Online 'fintech' accountants

Just recently started a new business and have decided to look at 'online' accountants rather than the family accountant I've used in the past
I know that my accounts (historically and with the new business) are likely to be very straight forward and I won't need much of a personal service.
The ones I have found online are less than half what I've paid previously and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations...?
I'm especially looking at the likes of ember.co but I have found a few similar app based accountancy firms online.... Anyone have any thoughts on this one or any others...
The price is fantastic and the app looks great but I can't find many reviews... ember have 40 (all 5 stars!)
Thanks

There really isn't any difference anymore between "normal" accountants and "online" accountants. Nearly all accountants, these days, will be well accustomed to using online/cloud book-keeping software, apps, etc.
What's more important than ever is to check that firms are properly regulated by an accountancy/tax professional body, the owners have practising certificates, insurance, etc.
Accountancy is an unregulated profession. Literally anyone can call themselves an accountant and start an accountancy practice, regardless of whether they have experience, adequate qualifications, etc.
The main accountancy/tax bodies have registers of regulated members/member firms on their websites, so it's wise to check their credentials.4
