I have a three day trip to Iceland coming up and would appreciate some clarification on rules. I am double jabbed and Iceland is on the green list. Currently Iceland requires all travellers to have a negative PCR test before flying. As far as I can see, I then only need to have a day 2 test done when I get back. Do I require anything else? It is unclear as to whether I need to take a PCR test in Iceland in order to be allowed to board the flight back? Anyone have any guidance here? Cheers in advance!

Yes, you need an antigen or PCR test before flying home to the UK. This is up to three days before your departure back to the UK. Depending on your flight day and time this could end up being in the UK and is allowed (although it seems backwards).

    So you need:

    - PCR test before flying to Iceland
    - PCR or antigen test up to three days before departing for the UK
    - Day 2 PCR test.

Important to note: you need to check what the airline requirements are. I say this because as you go on the official Iceland website it says PCR or antigen but Icelandair say no to antigen tests and are exclusively PCRs. I'm saying this as you may need a PCR on your return. Probably worth a phone call.

Or any other test type that meets the accuracy level like LAMP

Yes but a huge majority of places do not supply LAMP and only antigen and PCR so it's easier to just say that, especially when people are already confused.
