Lloyds and Optima Legal

Another Optima unhappy customer, they are absolutely rubbish!
The lender sent us the mortgage offer at the end of April and Optima haven't made any progress since then. Rang them up but they can't really tell me anything. How on earth this company is still in this business?!1 -
The are beyond a joke.
They have cost me hundreds of pounds in extra fees/interest while they "investigate" a claim on my file - there was none, certainly none they told me about. They blame HCA for delays (they responded within a DAY when asked!) and you can NEVER get hold of them.
Now, my £750 cashback from Lloyds has gone missing (Lloyds say it was sent to Optima). Who do you believe?
Either way, I would suggest anyone that can avoids using Optima. You may as well pay the legal fees yourself as you will end up paying one way or another!1 -
I wish we knew we there might be option to not use Optima
But I am sure HSBC knows how poor service Optima provides
I will raise complaint with HSBC1 -

I will raise complaint with HSBCNot all banks offer a cashback option but there's always the option to use your own legals and you can get it as low as £150-200.Do complain, hopefully enough people complaining will push HSBC to introduce a cashback option.0 -
They were the company my bank wanted me to use for my remortgage. After reading their reviews then trying to phone them and it being impossible to get through, I told my bank I was not happy to use them. They gave me the choice of two more solicitor firms.0

I am using them for a remortgage with Barclays and it has gone smoothly.
I have had to call to chase up but the usual, offer expires January and we have chosen December to complete to take advantage of the cheaper current interest rate.0 -

Optima Legal are the most terrible company I ever came across! A bunch of liars, I have the proof as well. I did complain to the lender but the remortgage process is still not progressing so I'm thinking to pay someone else to remortgage.
Thanks0 -

Thanks
Through my mortgage broker. Mind you this was a year ago. For a BTL remortgage a couple of months ago, the best she could do was 250 as (like everything else) prices have gone up. Which was still ok as the cashback was 300.
