carpet right (WRONG!)

Hi All

I bought some carpet from 'carpet right' but the transaction was anything but right!, they did not deliver when they said they would so I then had to get another fitter to come and fit and then they wouldn't refund my fitting fee as they said it was free' fitting but they told me I had to pay for the fitter separately when he fitted! all in all a complete nightmare. So i am planning on 2 things. taking them to court to recover the 20% they are deducting and setting up a protest movement standing out side various carpet right shops with a placard saying dont buy from carpet right as they lied to me.
Any thoughts?

How many people are going to be in your protest movement, and how many hours a week of placard-waving are you expecting them to do?

If you are outside and I turned up I would tell you to go forth,
Before court maybe you should escalate within Carpet right to Head Office etc

    Yes, two.

    1. What are they deducting 20% from and for what reason?
    2. Your protest plan is daft and...ahem...'floored'.

    Your story doesn't make sense.

If you had paid to have the carpet delivered and fitted by them, and they didn't deliver on the right day, then why did it not just get fitted on next delivery date? Why would you have to then get your own fitter?

Carpet Right and Tapi and most other stores have independent carpet fitters so they give you a price including fitting but you pay the fitter directly yourself.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

If he stands outside shouting 'roll up, roll up', it's quite likely that people will pile into the protest.  Multiple locations are a great idea: start with Axminster, Wilton and Wool, and then go international to Saxony and the Orient.  If the police turn up, the protestors can cut and loop chains round their wrists to prevent being moved on.
