Car accident but don't want to claim on insurance

I am a little surprised that the insurer have gone far enough to have negotiated a 50/50 settlement without either party having actually progressed any claims. Most will send initial letters etc once the claim is registered but won't supply statements, locus reports, witness information etc until there is an outlay in the pipeline as you lose a lot of money in claims handling fees for claims that never go anywhere that way.stop_it said:Upon investigation, both the insurers have now agreed that this should be treated as a 50/50 fault incident.
Are you sure they said it had been negotiated to be a 50/50 rather than simply that the other side hasn't accepted liability and therefore it may end up a 50/50?0
