SIP & Paid by phone App

Hi All, I have an on line court hearing on the 4th! just wondering if anyone has had the same situation as me? I sold my van to my nephew who got 4 tickets from SIP, one was a notice on the vehicle (but not there when he returned!) the other 3 where for insufficient payment although he paid through the paybyphone App. Which tells you how much they will charge you for your vehicle based on the vehicle registration!! simple really however, they sent a PCN for each and because I couldn't get through to them on the phone (after 45 minutes) I put the phone down!! My question is, should they have sent a PCN when he had paid via the App or did they not check this out and sent out the PCN regardless because it easier and more chance of making money. My argument will be that the PCN (3 of them) should not had been issued as the App knows what vehicle via the registration and decides the amount to be paid. My nephey has confirmation of the payments which was sent to SIP's solicitors but yet they are chasing me for not informing them that I wasn't the driver!! Any thoughts or experiences, Thanks Jbradders

We have experience if court wins by consumers here every week v parking firms but only if they have complied with court directions and out in a decent defence and then also the WITNESS STATEMENT and evidence that you had to file and serve in July.
...did you?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I fear this won't go well. 😕Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
