DCBL UPCL Forgot to show my permit

Hi everyone
Over a four year period of using a car space every day, I forgot to leave my permit on display 3 times.

The first occasion I appealed to POPLA and after showing them I had a permit and they overturned it.
The second two instances I unsuccessfully appealed to UK Parking Control and didn’t manage to appeal to POPLA in time. Ridiculous how UKPC didn’t just accept my appeal since POPLA set precedent?
Fast forward 5 years and bham two NOTICE OF INTENDED LEGAL ACTION £150 each.
Surely I’m in the right here and don’t have to pay? If they take me to court do you think I have a good chance? Or do you think I should pay up?

DCB Limited letters can be ignored. DCB Legal letters need to be dealt with. While UKPC are using DCB Limited for free-of-charge debt collecting, they pay SCS Law to front their court claims, not DCB Legal. Come back if you get a very unlikely communication from DCB Legal or from SCS Law.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Why did you need a permit? Is/was this a residential space to your own property ( rented or not)? From the Plain Language Commission:

So it was rented accommodation and came with a parking space in a big basement car park. So it was my allocated parking space at the time. UKPC kind of managed the car park and had a sign to say “you must show your permit”.
