NS&I: security call not working

My wife tried to access her NS&I account this morning but once she logged in, it asked her to answer a security call. The phone number looked correct from what we could see, but the call never came. Ultimately this means she cannot access her account. Has anyone else experienced this issue and what is the best way to resolve it? I imagine calling NS&I, but how easy was it to resolve?
