A warning about the London Clinic of Nutrition

I am writing here because somehow London Clinic of Nutrition can take down unflattering Google reviews and I would like to warn others who might be in a similar position from throwing away their money.

The clinic makes a lot of promises that they can treat those who suffer from various dietary problems and anyone with such a condition knows how damaging these conditions can be to your life and how often the NHS isn’t able to do much to help. After trying for years, I eventually decided to try the cline, despite the huge costs, (because frankly, I felt desperate) and I really looked forward to my first appointment, really wanting to believe that at last I would get the help I needed and put my life back on track.

In short, it was an awful experience. The “consultant,” seemed to be just reading vague flashcards of various random dietary suggestions such as “did you try and exclude dairy” and “maybe you could try veggie shakes?” I tried to explain that veggie shakes would make me very unwell, but she talked over me. The consultation was described as offering tailored advice to address my problems but was an odd collection of generic health advice the consultant ended the session early after ignoring my questions. Over a week later I got “personalised notes” such as detailed instructions for a raw 'vegetable cocktail' in the notes, after I said I struggle to digest vegetables and there were broken, affiliate links to suggested supplements (some of which would make me very sick).

I was absolutely gutted as I had put a lot of trust in the clinic, and it was that more than the money which really hurt.

I wrote to the London clinic of Nutrition to complain but they refused to apologise or refund me. Eventually, after a lot of difficult back and forth, I asked my bank for a section 75 claim on my credit card which was declined on the basis that the bank can’t accurately access the content of the session and therefore can’t conclude it was a breach of contract/misrepresentation of the service. So after a lot of wasted time and money, I hope that I at least can warn other of the London Clinic of Nutrition and I also hope Google sort out their review policies, which somehow allow fake reviews but delete genuine ones.

It appears to have been deleted.
It was originally posted on the Consumer rights board under a totally inappropriate username (the same name as the company being complained about) and I suggested it was more appropriate to Praise, Vent & Warnings as there was no consumer rights issue.

There was also discussion about the user name causing confusion and it has now been changed.

  • Hi, a company has asked for a right of reply. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum:

'We are sorry you feel this way about the Clinic and that you didn’t get the support you were looking for. We are proud of the success we have had with many clients helping them return to optimal health – but we understand everyone’s health journey is different and there are no guarantees to the outcomes of your programme.

With regards to the claim of a deleted Google review, we do not have the powers to do this, and it is near on impossible to get google reviews removed. None of our positive reviews are fake, again Google has robust policies in place to avoid things like this happening.

Customer care is extremely important to us. However, as we do not know the details of your case, we cannot investigate this further for you, but if you would like to reach out to us, we would be happy to discuss your issues further and help to resolve your complaint.'
  • Dear terrible experience...I can confirm that what you are saying also happened to me at London clinic of Nutrition. They are after your cash first and have unprofessional nurses who are not compitant in what the do. They manager Oliver ...is rude and hit the door cubard on my IV tank... whilst I was in the chair having therapy. Very questionable practice if you are very sick please find other ways to heal.
