Morning all
Dull and overcast here and set in for the day but no rain yet, im sure we will get some at some point !
I am waiting in for the dw man today he is due between 10 and 3 I hope its earlier rather than later and then I can get on with my day, I also hope he can fix it as I am fed up of washing up by hand !
I have a wash on the go but it will have to go in the TD today and I need to have a tidy through and hoover.
We cut the hedges on Saturday they look so much tidier now, the amount of clipping we got off was huge ! we filled a dumpy bag with them, our garden waste bins are not being emptied atm due to staff shortages so we managed to manhandle it into my car and took it to the tip it was good to get rid of it.
Might do fahitas for dinner as im not sure what time the man will come / leave and its a nice quick dinner.
Taff welcome back and yes I think a clearance firm is the way to go xx
Thinking of Maddie xx
Gers have you all finished at your mums flat now ? xxx
Have good days all xx11 -
Good morning everyone.
Sunny and feels warm outside, not seen forecast yet. Lateral flow test done, I so hate these, I gag for England and feel a bit yuk now, but all clear. Little Bruv and I are going to clear mum's room this morning.
Roasting the chicken in the new Ninja thing was very successful, but I need OH to turn it over, take it out etc, he seems quite happy about that though. Have a pork fillet to deal with, may stuff, roll and roast, 1 meal hot another cold.
Sending hugs and spoons, take care all.
Cut this post short to deal with phone calls and stuff.

Morning all, welcome back Taff. It's brightening up nicely here. I hold my hand up, we put the heating on for an hour the last 2 evenings! I made an apple crumble yesterday, not had a hot pud for ages. At least it seems to have dried up for a while now.I'm sorry Csarina and Maddie have had bad news, unfortunately so have I- my cousin's DD passed away last week after being ill for 12 months, early 40s, leaving 2 young teens. She was the 1st baby born to the cousins on my DDads side (My mum was an only one, so I don't have any on her side) & was made a great fuss of
. 4 of us cousins inc. her mum regularly meet up when we can so it's been a sad week. We should find out today when her funeral is.Sounds like there is lots of loft sorting going on. I did sort some craft stuff yesterday but still need to do more, will I ever use the bits of offcuts of card and patterned paper, I ask myself ! I did make some yesterdayDGC were away last week so it was strangely quiet, but we've had lots of photos
I need to get some meat out of the freezer, my delivery last week was very strange - I ordered 2 meal deals for Sat night and none of the items came, apart from DH beer- bit of a mish mash and 4 different types of potato! Ended up making a chicken curry for Saturday night instead
Ok that's enough from me! Take care everyone x

Gers have you all finished at your mums flat now ? xxxJust one more session I hope - am going down on Friday this week. I've got the house clearance people booked again to take away what BHF didn't take and to load up my car with the remaining items. Should be a bootful to bring back and then sort. I've got a dental appointment in the afternoon so hope to be able to head back up the road afte that.Rosy - so sorry to read about your cousin's DD, she was so young too. When elderly relatives die it's sad but expected, when it comes to the younger ones it's a real tragedy. My condelences to you and your family. The gardener is removing the brambles now - rather her than me. We stopped for wee chat and watch the geese flying overhead.

ROSY I was so sorry to read about your cousin's DD. Our children shouldn't go before us. I have heard of quite a few younger people leaving us recently. My DN's Sis in law just collapsed and died last week, she was early 40's. I didn't know her but it was a dreadful shock to her family. Thinking of you all x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10

Rosy I'm so sorry about the passing of your cousin. 40 is no age at all, it's very sad. Hugs and love to you and your family xTaff sorry, I should have welcomed you back too. I'll go and sit in the corner now and contemplate the error of my ways 🤔nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10

Oh I tried to reply to everyone and lost my reply....
So I'll just hope everyone has a good day!
Hester - I had no idea you could cook a full roast dinner in a boat!
I expect you've put it on before but could you post a link to your blog please. I'd be interested in reading it.
Someone mentioned pork fillet - I've never known how to cook it - what's a nice easy method?
Peaceful afternoon till little one arrives abut 48 -
Rosy and TA - such sad news.
Had a disturbed night's sleep - nightmares. I still have bad dreams from my first marriage even though I have been happily remarried for 24 years this week.
