France Amber plus to Amber

Obviously no one except our "esteemed" ministers really know but does anyone know what the current latest thinking is by the broader media etc as to:

a/ Liklihood of France being downgraded "soon"
b/ When that is most likely to happen - how does it depend on rates and variants in France going forward and how to check that?
c/ When is any announcement about it most likely to happen

The lists are being updated on Thursday.

I wouldn't count on France being downgraded as long as the Government erroneously thinks that it can't screen travellers from Réunion.  Apparently, the Scottish Government could stop people coming from Bolton but Border Force can't tell if someone has come from a tropical island.

I have read that France will go Amber.

I have read that France will stay Amber plus.

I have read Spain will go Amber.

All speculation  as nobody knows but everybody wants to be the one who can say 'I told you so'.
