Help PLEASE - we don't have title of our car

Thank you for the advice, yes it is taxed, next tax due 1st April 2022, which fits. (https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/)

But what is strange....... the report has: 

"Date of last V5C (logbook) issued - 28 April 2021"

We bought the car 27th April.

If there's a 6-10 week back log at the DVLA, then how come the new logbook was issued in a day? Perhaps it was done directly online, if so, then why can't this be done again?

Because the keeper change was done online using the doc ref from the previous V5C.

Perhaps it was done directly online, if so, then why can't this be done again?

Because the previous V5C doc ref is not known, since that 28th April one went astray in the post.

Also, I guess you don't want an additional previous keeper to be shown...
