Pre-flight PCR test query

The 'man in the pub' had a positive PCR test last week
He's read that he shouldn't have another PCR within 90 days as it will read (false?) positive, even though he will no longer be infectious.
But, he wants to fly from the UK to Cyprus in September which is only 50 days time and needs a clear PCR to be allowed to do so.
He can't find any guidance from UK gov, nor the CY flightpass
Anyone have any bright ideas?
EDIT - he has been double vaccinated

You can use your NHS Covid Pass to - show if you have had a positive PCR test ( or that you’ve been double jabbed ) -However you need to check if Cyprus accepts the NHS Covid Pass as proof ?1

have you checked the gov.uk site for travel to Cyprus, particularly the rules for those who have ahd both vaccinations.
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/cyprus/entry-requirements
But , of course, it could be very different come September1
