Compensation for denied education

Hi all.
Bit of an odd one this, but would appreciate any advice.
Long story short, my disabled child has had education withheld from then since Feb this year due to an administrative !!!!!! up between his school and local authority.
I'm at the stage where I can point my finger at the person(s) who caused the issue and would appear to be due to negligence. My complaint is still progressing and I will let it run its course.
However, I want to send a strong message to this person and an apology in this instance isn't enough as it would be appear I have been lied to repeatedly.
Is there any action I can take via small claims against this individual if I can prove negligence, that resulted in a loss of education for my child?
I have no interest in profiting or making money, just want a some recourse for what they have caused, any cash award can go into a trust fund, charity, NHS, don't care, I just want to feel that some justice has been done and a letter of apology won't quite cut it.
Any thoughts?
Thanks all.

A quick google search gave me this. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/family/education/taking-action-about-discrimination-in-education/Having spent 14 years of my daughters school life with one problem after another...lack of support, lack of respect, accusing me of being an overprotective parent and being told "they know best" and a lot more on top but i won't go into details. Personally, i would send a formal complaint and move on.

I think you'd struggle to bring a case against an individual, they are presumably employed by either the school or the LA, your complaint ultimately is with the organisations not the individual.
If you were to pursue legal action against the organisation(s) then there may be follow on ramifications for said individual but you'd likely get the same output less the money by a formal complaintMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
