    Looks fine.

    For the interest you have been taxed,

    £500 x 0% = £0.00
    £12,654 x 40% = £5061.60

    Less tax paid £2,630.86

    Tax owed £2,430.74

    The small extra bit is what you will owed before which HMRC ignore unless they need to send you a calculation.

    Nice to see your own employer got it right!

    😀 I wish! Tried speaking to hmrc helpline yesterday but they were not helpful and asked me to write in.. hounded by calls on claiming tax back and decided to do r40 route myself. Wish I hadn’t!!

    On what basis did you think you were due a refund of the PPI interest tax paid ?
