When you initiated your chargeback did you tell Tesco that the company had ceased trading?

Have you checked the company status using the link provided by Ectophile?

To do a chargeback on a future dated service, for non receipt prior to service supply date. The only basis you can is if the company are no longer tonger trading. For which you need proof. There is no other basis....

Might help if OP said who there were.

But my feeling is that this is a change of mind >> I had a change in family circumstances << which would not be covered in any case.

So the OP said something that may or may not be true when they initiated the chargeback

Would help if the OP clarified if they checked if the company was or wasn't trading.

We don't even know if it was a company as the OP consistently refuses to provide that info

It could be Joe Bloggs T/A Amazingholidays for all we know
  • I sort of took it that because the OP had gone to his bank for a chargeback in respect of a future holiday, that the bank had automatically assumed the holiday firm (whatever) had gone bust.  I didn't read it that the OP had chanced their arm by claiming something that they did not know was true.

Or maybe, as I said on another post, I'm in a good mood because the gymnastics and swimming are coming to an end  the athletics started today.
