Travel to Spain

Hi

Due to travel to Spain tomorrow for work - only going for 3 days.

I have been double vacinnated - so have got the NHS QR code & completed the Spanish form that has also generated a QR code.

Just go to check in with IBERIA & they have the following on their website:

  1. Passengers from the United Kingdom
    With effect from 2 July:
  • UK nationals and residents travelling for tourism purposes:
    • Must present one of these two documents to enter Spain: vaccine certificate or PCR.
    • Children under the age of 12 are exempt.
  • UK nationals and residents travelling for essential reasons (not for tourism) andEU citizens returning from the UK:
    • Must present one of these documents to enter Spain: vaccine certification, recovery certification, NAAT diagnostic test or antigen test.
    • Children under the age of 12 are exempt.
  • Covid certificates issued by the United Kingdom cannot be presented in QR code format because they are not compatible with the European Digital Covid Certificate System.
So my question is - do I need to rush out & a PCR test today - as I don't have it in letter format?

Thanks Mark

Download a paper copy from the NHS app , it includes all the relevant data about each dose of vaccine

    Hi

So for those of you like me where panicking about needing a letter to prove you have had the vaccine - go into the NHS App, click on the Get your NHS COVID Pass, then select either Domestic or Travel - this will generate a QR code, swipe down below the QR code & you will see an option to download the QR code - you can download & print it out.

    Thanks Mark

Just thought I would update this thread - when flying out it is the airline who checks docs - so they were quite happy with the NHS App.
