Morning all
Bright and sunny here and set in for the day which is nice, I have a wash on the go and will hang it out for a while.
The dw man did not turn up he is having to isolate, so I now have another chap coming Monday instead, so we are still washing up by handits amazing how much you miss something when its not working !
I am taking little pup for her haircut this morning it should make her more comfortable in the heat, once back we will take them for a walk round the field, I took big pup for 1.5 miles yesterday with my walking friend and she managed it ok so we can start doing longer walks now but still on the lead for a while.
This afternoon I was taking my sister to a hospital appointment for her hand, (Bella she is doing ok thanks, just frustrated about not being able to do anything much ) but the hospital have just phoned and cancelled, but I will still pick her up to get her out for a while and then pick my shopping up later and go in with her to get a few bits.
Bella thinking of you and your dear mum xxx
Have good days all xxx12 -
Morning, hugs if you need one.
Gers, glad your new mattress arrived and you had a good nights sleep.
A bright sunny morning, DB anxious to get out to his new toy!! On the way home on Tuesday we ordered the wood etc for my new project in the garden. I realised yesterday I should have ordered 2 fence panels, so had to ring them, was then told it will be delivered on Friday..........
After lunch yesterday we nipped into Melton to the Tool Station to get some bits we needed, somehow I managed to pay for a new trowel for DB.........he 'wants his own trowel' so I will be painting the handle red, so he cannot pinch my trowel which will not be painted.
This morning I plan to wash the window frames at the front, and also clear all the spiders webs etc from under the canopy over the front door. I use a bucket and mop and then dry off with an old towel. Doing the front will be enough for today. Will try and do the back tomorrow. There is a problem with the back door frame. A couple of years ago we had one of those door curtains that use sticky pads to adhere it to the door frame, I cannot get the pads off.........tried all sorts of things to no avail, will have one more go before I give up.
Salad of some description for supper tonight. DB has taken the net off the raspberries, he picked two bowls full last night........I am running out of freezer space.

Morning all - for once I am managing to post in the morning.
I didn't wake up till 10 past 9 this morning. I didn't feel 100/ yesterday - but fine again today - must have just needed a good sleep - one that didn't end with little one shouting ' Granny is your eyes open?'
No plans as yet for today but DD wasn't feeling well either yesterday and went for a Covid test - so fingers crossed she's ok otherwise little one could be arriving with her suitcase! She says she's feeling a bit better too so hopefully it's just a bug of some sort.
Gers - I'm pleased your mattress arrived and was comfy.
Maddiemay - hope your mum has a peaceful day
Csarina - I planted 2 raspberry canes this year and haven't had a single raspberry! I feel I must have done something wrong!
Hope everyone has a good day today. I need to check my bank as I usually get paid on the last Tuesday of the month and I haven't been!
Popped back to say I've been paid and DD is negative11 -
DP1 we have 12 canes which have been in for 6 years. My husband feeds them each spring and makes sure they are well watered. Did they flower? or if they did was there a frost......we had a forst after the blossom was out on the plum tree and it killed them, so no plums for us this year.9
-
Csarina - thanks for your reply. No there's been no flowers... But no frost after they were planted...
They have grown a lot though. Perhaps I'll have to wait till next year
In the meantime I've been up to Tesco with DD and bought some more for little one!10 -
After my nanna nap yesterday afternoon - I felt up to doing a stir fry which we enjoyed.
Did the ironing and towels wash this morning - rain forecast for here tomorrow.
It is very windy out there.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Awful news this morning..... phone call for DB, his son's fiancee collapsed and died. Her parents apparently found her and called an ambulance, she was taken to hospital but died last night. An awful shock, we had only met her once, but she struck me as being a really nice person. SS is now left with a 2 year old daughter to bring up.6

How terrible Csarina, my sincere condolences for you and DB (and his son of course).

What terrible news CSARINA and what a shock for your SS. You didn't say what age she was but she can't have been very old if she had a 2 year old. That is so sad. Condolences for you all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"5
