Ground rent apportionment- amount to be paid query

Hi Everyone,
I'd be grateful if someone could shed some light please.
We have received completion statement from the seller's solicitors and the amount to be paid for ground rent apportionment is over twice as much as the yearly ground rent stated in previous docs. It was indicated that the statement covers payments made until July next year.
Am I missing something here? It's something £300 yearly stated previously vs. £650 requested.

Are you sure it's just the ground rent that's being apportioned?
Service charges are usually paid in advance, so they would need to be apportioned as well
Is the Service Charge apportionment listed separately on the statement?

@eddddy, Yes, the service charge apportionment is listed separately. I understand that the ground rent may have been paid in advance until July next year but it is still not adding up for me. Couldn't contact solicitors as received the doc out of hours due to work ...0
