Update ford satnav

Looking for some help, got a 5hour drive next Friday down south so Looking to update my 66plate ford fiesta sat nav.
Has anyone done this and could advise me what's involved as never done it before also do I need to pay to download the updated files

Can't help you with your specific question, but if it turns out that it's going to be expensive, you could always use Google Maps on your phone - it tends to be pretty accurate.  Assuming you'll be driving largely on motorways/main roads, you'll probably only need a satnav for the last part of the journey anyway?

Does your model include Android Auto / Apple Carplay? If yes then Google Maps through the car screen is better IMHO.

That will only work with the new model Fiesta  - I think 66 plate was a sd card - you could try Ebay

i hate inbuilt satnavs, they will always become redundant some point in time and they just end up bewcoming useless screens on the dashboard.

Followed link and downloaded the files required,  placed onto a flash drive then installed through USB port  took 25mins all in too install and update on car, 
Was very easy and I was surprised I had no fee to pay for updated files to Ford.
