Vintage Light-Shade Fittings

Hi.
I have a number of old light shades and I want to have all of them refitted. Most of them are 18inch in diameter, some are 16. I guess it will be a case of choosing the fitting first and then fitting them? I'm prepared to bring the shades to whoever can assist me with this and work out a price for the lot. Fittings don't have to be in character with the shades themselves as they are unlikely to be seen.
Any thoughts are welcome. John.

Do you mean you have the shade and want them refitting with modern electrics?Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. Like choking....0

To wire fittings into the old shades?
Not hard at all to DIY. Plenty of fittings and period-style cable on the 'bay. Alternatively, any half-way competent local handyman will be able to do it far cheaper than an electrician. It really is as simple as wiring a plug.0 -
