Hi there,
I run a limited company, i am the only director/owner of the company,
I pay myself the same amount every week through my payroll. I believe this still class’s me as being self employed. We are due to have a baby in a months time, am I entitled to any paternity pay from the government.?
Thankyou in advance for any reply’s and advice.

For tax purposes you are an employee. If you are paying more than £120/week then you are entitled to Statutory Paternity Pay. Your company has to pay this to you but can then recover some or all the cost from HMRC.

This may be something to discuss with your accountant.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
