PCN for Marazion car park - though paid

Hi
We have just received a PCN for the Marazion short stay car park from two weeks ago - I would be interested to hear from residents or someone who is very familiar with that car park as to what we have done wrong.
We spent two hours on St Michael's Mount and paid on exit at the automatic pay machine just by the shops outside the carpark - the machine registered that we owed £1.50 (for over two hours??) when I inputted the car reg - unfortunately we now have a PCN that stated that we didn't pay at all; on appeal (and sending a screenshot of the payment), they now say we didn't pay enough - I would have thought the machine recorded the time you have stayed in the carpark by the cameras and (like many supermarket machines) you cannot make adjustments to the time stayed - would anyone know?
I'm afraid, as always, I didn't spend 10 minutes reading the minute writing as to the dos and don'ts.
If the fault is theirs and not ours, I shall hammer through POPLA, but if I have made a mistake, please tell me before I land up with egg on my face!!
Many thanks

Please read the other recent posts and threads about Marazion car parks and Initial

Thanks, RedX, where is the thread with photos of the board? The other threads I found regarding Marazion only concerned being penalised for not paying - fairly understandable 😉 though highly annoying1

Thanks, found it - but too difficult for me to read - sorry1

Why is that?kcwro said:Thanks, found it - but too difficult for me to read - sorryPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If I knew how to close this post, I would, as there are many with a similar complaint as ours on a previous forum - thanks though1

You don’t need to close it as you may need to ask for more help later. Golden rules: don’t pay and don’t phone any party who sends you a demand.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
