I am with Talktalk and I got sent a new router for their change on 30th July to faster broadband. Now my printer Epson XP-245 can't connect to my laptop. I have tried to follow the instructions but I find computers for dummies hard to follow! Can anyone help in very simple instructions? Thanks in advance.

Should be some software you can download from Epson's website to connect the printer to the new wireless ID. You'll need to physically connect it via USB first.

Quickest way to connect the printer to the new Wifi is:
1. Press and hold the WPS button on the back of the EE Hub for a few seconds until the light at the front starts flashing
2. Press and hold the Wifi button on the Epson printer for about 3 seconds until the lights above it start flashing alternate green/amber
3. Wait a minute or so and it should be connected - the green light will show steady above the Wifi button on the printer and the amber will be off.

EDIT: you might need to do page 27 first to reset network connections to default.1 -
I presume EE was a typo and you meant TT? (OP is now with Talktalk).
If the TT router sets up the local network with the same IP range as the old router used (e.g. 192.168.1.X) then an alternative method may be to change the SSID (WiFi network name) and WiFi password within the TT router to be the same as the old router. That way the printer should automatically connect.
Remember though (with whichever method you use) that the printer may not get assigned the same IP address as what it had previously. So you'd need to delete the printer from your laptop and add it again. (Or update the printer properties to point to the new IP address).Jenni x1 -
I tried most of above which didn't work. I haven't got a USB to link. Fortunately a friend is coming by to look at it. So thanks everyone0

Maybe the long no .at the back of the router is different from the original , and needs to be changed ?Then again, hopefully your friend has fixed it now0

I’m having the same problem with my new TT router. TV, mobiles and iPad all work fine. But my laptop with windows7 and WiFi Epsom printer XP245 will not work. TT told me they are not compatible with their new routers. Anyone else had this problem0

Please don’t believe what TT say, they don’t have a clue. You will probably have to set the router to use the 2.4Ghz band as well as 5Ghz. And then change the wifi passord on the printer. Anyone else had this problem"not compatible" is ISP code for "don't know".Is it the TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub Black you've got?The printer needs to be reconfigured to connect to the new router, you can't just switch it back on and expect it to work.Utilities are on the website:With regards to the laptop, its more likely it can't use 5Ghz networks. Reconfigure router to use only 2.4Ghz. Or use a network cable.
