  • Hi Guys. Relatively new MSE follower here. Not used any of the MSE blagged deals before.
Today followed the link fir the Lebara 3gb sim blagged deal (ending today) for £2:50 for first 3 months then £5 per month thereafter.
But it all went through at £5. Checked PayPal and yes, taken £5. Still a good deal but......
As I've not used any of these links before, can someone advise if this is correct and I somehow get a credit, or if it should have gone through at £2:50 in first place?

    Hi Gemma,

Firstly, welcome to MSE and thanks for giving one of our Blagged deals a go!

I must ask, do you know what time you applied for the Lebara Sim? Only, because the offer ended at mid-day, so it might be that Lebara's system registered your purchase after this time, charging you the standard £5.

But, if you saw it say £2.50 for the first 3mths on our site, I suspect it was before or around midday, and if that's the case, we could look to raise this with Lebara to see if there's anything it can do.

Do let me know, and we'll try our best to help you with this one.

    Thanks,
    MSE Chris
  • Ahh bother - I didnt realise it ended at midday. Im sure the email just said "ends Monday" so I (stoopidly - lol) assumed midNIGHT. It was deff after midday that I applied - prob about 6pm. I "think" it still stated the £2.50 for first 3 months on the site as I remember looking later in the evening and noticing that the wording had changed. Its my own fault for leaving it until the last minute then. Lesson learnt!!! Thankfully, at £5.00 per month on a monthly contract, its not a bad deal anyways. Thanks for coming back to me and explaining. xx

    Hi Gemma,

It threw us too as 99.9% of the time, these deals do end at midnight, but it was just a one off that was midday. We'll make sure if we run this deal again or similar that it expires at midnight to avoid these issues in future.

Like you said, the £2.50 was a good deal, but it was only for the first 3 months, so you've still got a cracking deal at £5/mth!

Remember, you can leave it at anytime as it's a 1mth contract, and we usually see similar deals from the likes of Smarty should you wish to switch around and take advantage of these kind of offers in the future.

    Many thanks,
    MSE Chris
