Good morning all, gosh Gers you have done so much this morning before I am even dressed.
Thinking of DUMPLING, her DM and DS, SCARLETT pleased you seem to be on the mend. NMLC good news, that is great after so many months of uncertainty. TA enjoy your meet up, friends always give us a lift in mood. DP1 boo to the cat visitor, hope it has been seen off for good.
I spent some time sitting with DM yesterday, she slept mostly and I don't think was awake enough to know I was there, the staff are so good, kind and sweet to her, and to us her family.
My poor DSis is struggling, yesterday was her DH birthday, and tomorrow their wedding anniversary, his last few days were so distressing and keep running in a loop around her head, I suggested finding out about counselling, I think her DD is looking into it for her.
Rain due and green bin day, so I will pop out and cut down some more perennials before they come, then an easy day is needed and will try and arrange a manicure at a salon, need a treat and my nails are awful.
Thank you for all your good wishes, much appreciated, take care all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)12 -
Morning all
Its a bit overast here this morning with some rain due and then nice again this afternoon its a bit cooler which is nice. DD is shattered as she did her normal days work yesterday and then had to go to one of the houses to do a late shift till 10 last night then her replacement did not turn up so she had to arrange someone to come and take over from her and got in after 11, she was then on call and had two phone calls up to 1 this morning ! Poor thing is shattered.
Good news on the dw front we pulled the paperwork out yesterday to order the part only to see its still under its 5 year gaurantee, I was very pleased so made a quick phone call and they are coming out tomorrow to have a look at it, if they cant fix it they will replace like for like, I am so pleased it was an expensive dw so you dont expect it to just last four years !
Off to get my nails done at lunch time I missed my appointment when we had covid so im quite desperate to get them done.
Not sure about dinner tonight there is a quiche in the fridge so could have that with new pots and salad, or I pass right by a lovely butcher on my way to my nails so I might stop and get some of their minty lamb chops which are deliious and have mash and veg instead.
Gers i hope all goes well today xxx
Scarlett glad the meds seem to be working xx
Have good days all xx

Good morning everyone
It's a lovely sunny morning here although like a lot of you we have rain forecast for later this afternoon.
I had a long messenger conversation this morning with my mum and my sister. My mum is having an x ray today as they think she has broken some ribs as well as she is finding it very difficult to breathe deeply and so is on oxygen as a result. The plan is to get her home today as long as she can get out of bed and walk up and down the corridor. When she tried it yesterday she fainted so they are being a lot more cautious with her today. Apart from all that she sounds upbeat but desperate to get home. As for my sister, they have removed all her drains and tubes, she is going to have a bit of jelly to eat and then she will be moved to a ward so that is fantastic. They are hoping she will be able to come home next Monday. The surgeon was extremely pleased with how her surgery went. She is deemed to be cancer free, minus 100 nodes and a spleen. She has been told that the cancer will more than likely reappear at some point but she will hopefully have a good few years yet. We are all so pleased.
My leg is continuing to improve, 'nurse Steve' is doing a fantastic job and I am hopefully going to be able to resume trying to get out and about very soon.
So good to hear everyone's news this morning on here. Hope you all have a brilliant day whatever you are up to, take care xx
ETA, Maddie, I am sending you a massive cwtch, I will be thinking of you and your family especially your sister xx11 -
Maddie, your poor sister, I still think about mum and dad's death and both of them went relatively peacefully. I found that after a traumatic experience giving birth to Laura that it really helped to write down what happened, I was able to let it go to a great extent after that.12

Morning all, very late today as I overslept. I didn't get to sleep till 5am, I watched the women's triathlon, then had too much rubbish going through my head. Add to that Mr Fix It moaning every time he turned over as he stubbed his little toe when getting into the shower yesterday. It's black and blue this morning, I think he's broken it.I sat in the sun and read yesterday afternoon. I cut back 2 shrubs and did some weeding, no chance of gardening today as we had rain during the night and now it's showery. I also gave Mr Fix It a much needed haircut and rang Dad for a catch up as I do every other day. Seems he went to Al*is and it was manic but no gaps on their shelves. He may come over later as he has to renew his driving licence ( had a letter 10 months ago but forgot about it ) and his TV licence, which he's moaning about again. I did point out that he'd had it free for 15 years and he's not short of a few bob !I don't know if anything will get done today, I had all intention of doing some decluttering but a nana nap may win the day instead. I have however filled the dw and pressed the go button.Take care all, stay safenan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13

Morning all,
Thinking of you all. Yesterday seemed to pass me by! Afraid, I’ve got nothing interesting to post as I haven’t even got out of bed yet due to being unwell. I will try harder to find something more interesting to post about tomorrow!
Take care all.

Dumpling - brilliant news about your sister
Little one is fast asleep upstairs after a lovely play at the park and 2 rides on the bus! She had a great time and played on everything - the favourite today was the trampoline. She did fuss though when I wouldn't let her try to climb up this massive rope tower thing meant for about age 10 up I'd say. She kept saying 'but me thinks me is big nuff granny'. She settled for a smaller one in the end, but wasn't impressed.
Her mummy was just the same age 2 - a little dare devil!8
