Bank switch rejected. (edit) Now accepted.

Last week I applied to switch my joint Santander current account to an existing joint current account with NatWest.
Today, both my wife and I received texts saying the switch had been rejected by Santander. NatWest believe that Santander may be holding account information either incorrect or different to the information that I supplied. They say I should contact Santander to resolve this and I have an idea what is causing the problem.
I have an ongoing dispute with Santander reporting my current account being registered at my old address to Equifax. My Santander statements have the correct address and they have told me that they are reporting this to Equifax and that Equifax need to correct their records.
The correct address for the Santander account is being reported by Experian and Credit Karma.
I will phone Santander and NatWest tomorrow but in the meantime I wondered if anyone has come across anything like this?

I seem to recall reading something similar about failed switches due to slight differences in how account names are reported (eg. Joseph Blogs vs Joseph Danger Blogs) or slight differences in how addresses are reported (eg. 123 Fake Street vs Flat 123 Fake Street). Never had issues personally with switching though. It'd be best to clarify with NatWest as to the nature of the mis-match but I suspect you'll probably need to sort out the address issues with Santander and try again. Since this is a joint account it'd also be worthwhile double checking your wife's details are matching properly as well.

Phoned this morning and Santander say NatWest gave them an incorrect number for my debit card. I had taken a screenshot of the application and it wasn't my mistake.
I guess NatWest typed in a wrong number on their submission to Santander. Hard to believe they would make a mistake like this. The NatWest person said the switch should go through fine now as she will ensure that the correct debit number is input.
The Santander person also volunteered to check my address on three databases as, apparently these do not all get updated. He confirmed that my address was correct on all of their databases.

Just received notification from NatWest that the switch is going ahead and will be completed next Wednesday.1
