Cheap boiler replacement
Hi, back in September last year, I made enquiries about having a subsidised boiler replacement. It was sub-contracted by Eon, the first company didn’t come out to conduct the survey due to Covid. When I enquired again, Eon sent someone out, surveyed it, and quoted just over £600. I agreed to getting the work done. Heard nothing, and contacted them again, finally had someone come out, who quoted £1800 - quoted for loads more work the first Eon person didn’t. I have contacted Eon several times now asking why the difference in the price, and had no replies to emails, or promised callbacks.
I see a few other companies offering the same scheme, but wondered if there are any pitfalls in approaching them?

I didn’t pay that when I got a local company to do it without any ‘subsidies’.0
