Sellers log cabin

When we originally viewed the house we are exchanging on today the large log cabin with electrics in the garden could be "purchased at additional cost" (£5000) which we declined. Two months after our offer had been accepted the sellers came back to us with a new offer of £3000 which, due to my husband now working from home full time we accepted and were told their solicitor would forward the purchase details to ours to be added to the sale, we spoke to our solicitor to tell them what was happening all was good.
Now on exchange day we find out that their solicitor didn't forward details of the sale to ours (the cabin was never listed on the fixtures and fittings from the start), our solicitor is trying to chase but doubts it can be resolved in time. There is no way the sellers will be able to move the log cabin out in 4 days before completion so where does that leave us?
Sorry if there is an obvious answer here but my head is fried from an extremely drawn out and overly complex process so far!!!

Thanks x

It is easy to move a log cabin in 3 days.

Do you have the 3k in cash? Just pay the vendor direct.

You can either delay the exchange until this is sorted out properly, or you can speak direct to the sellers to sort this out/trust to luck.

If there's a last minute change in price, you may need a new mortgage offer. So, maybe this is better to sort out separately.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

We had a similar issue but with white goods when we sold our flat. It came up a couple of months before exchange so time was less of an issue. Our solicitor refused to submit a new fixtures and fittings form or get involved in any way and advised us to make a separate agreement with our buyer. I would far rather have done things properly (isn't it why we use solicitors in the first place?) but our solicitor was adamant and I figured that worst case scenario would be a small claims court case. It all worked out fine and there were no problems with the extra items.

Or you could ignore the whole thing and see if the sellers can't be asked to move the cabin and you get it for free.

At least the base and power cable (properly isolated inside the house) will be there and £3K should get you something reasonable to replace it with.

That is, if it really has been removed.

With the way timber has increased in price over the last few months, I don't think £3K is going to get much.
Bought a cheap shed a couple of years back and had been thinking of getting a second one. Originally paid under £500, and it is going to cost just shy of £1K. I'm not paying that sort of money for a cheap shed, period.
