Protect Dulux Diamond Eggshell with water based Varnish

Hiya,
I have used Dulux Diamond Eggshell over kitchen dresser top, and three window sills. All of these surfaces are going to be used heavily. Dresser for usual kitchen things and sills for pots etc. That was the reason for going with Diamond Eggshell.

It took a while (lots of practice) and some investment (Purdy brushes) to get a decent finish with this paint. So I do want to protect it. Would you recommend using a water based varnish like Polyvine Decorators Varnish Satin (I already have a can of it) over the DIamond Eggshell or the paint should be resilient enough? Or is it a bad idea? Could it cause yellowing?
