Speeding ticket on the way to A&E

I was hoping someone on here may be able to offer me some advice.

In February I was caught spending by a fixed camera doing 36mph in a 30 zone taking my partner and our then 7 day old baby to hospital in an emergency situation. It was 2am during lockdown so the roads weren't busy, it was dry and clear so driving conditions were good.

I appealed the fine on grounds of mitigating circumstances but the appeal was rejected and I have been issued with 3 points and £100 fine. This, to me, seems unfair considering the circumstances. I supplied evidence from the hospital of my partner's admittance. 

I now have the option to accept or go to court. Has anyone had any experience in this? If so, would you be able to give me an idea of the chances of my success and how much it may cost me if I win/lose?

I know I've broken the law by speeding but it feels harsh at best.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the police (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
