Hi

Im looking to get LVT glue down for downstair rooms.
The living & dinning is open plan, the max size is 7.6m x 4.62m.

Been quoted for labour cost (London) £720, plus additional £700 if we want it to be layed herringbone style.

Is this quote fair?

Thanks

£20 a metre.  You probably won't find it much cheaper.

Herringbone does cost more, whether it's exactly twice as expensive to fit, I'm not sure.  If you're comparing long straight planks with tiny parquet blocks it probably does.  There's a lot of cutting and wastage to consider.   I'm over the moon with ours though.  I've wanted parquet since we bought our first place together.

Thanks, the planks are 30.5cm x 7.6 cm, so fairly smallish.
And there are a few nooks and crannies in the room (large bay window, around the fireplace)

That may well explain it.  It's those details that add up.
