Red button facility not working

We have Samsung TV and humax freesat, and we use a "one for all" remote. We've never to our knowledge used the red button facility. However family staying asked how they access the Red button facility for olympics and we don't know. Yes, we've pressed the Red button beside the green, yellow, blue, to no avail.

From what i remember, it will only work if you're watching BBC through the tuned in programmes on your TV, and not through the Freesat. It may be that the "one for all" isn't programmed to your TV for this function, and you may have to use the TV remote.

Yes can be very slow .BBC Red button channel 250 on Freeview .1

Only the latest Freesat boxes have the red button option
Channels 980 hd and 981 SD are the red button channels.
BBCi player gives access to the same content as the red buttonEx forum ambassador
