Virgin Money app doesnt work

Hi, I used the online services with no problems, at the end of 2020, they decided to force people on to the app.

I have just tried to register, but when I enter the activation code after a long pause it says.

"somethings up

it may be a problem with the app, but check you are still connected to the internet and your signal is still strong.  Please give it another go later"

It links to an appoutage page but that just diverts me to a useless faq.

Is everyone else able to use the app ok?

    The android app is working ok for me. It was updated two days ago.
    Have you checked you have the latest version installed?

    All works well for me... You might need to give them a ring to resolve it if it hasn't sorted itself out by now...

    Hi, 

    No, we cant use the App either - having the same problems as you.   
    Contacted Virgin Money who told to delete and reinstall the App. 
    Did this and now cannot even re-register accounts/details on the App as its not working. 
    Contacted Virgin Money via Twitter and was told to email twitter@virginmoney.com advising of problems. 
    Hopefully they will resolve it.

    What phone & version of Android are you using that can't get the APP to work?

    Sometimes the connection can be faulty. Try without WiFi instead.

    iPhone 11 - already tried without home internet on mobile data WiFi - also deleted app and reinstalled and still don’t work - virgin are investigating as they think it may be only a problem with iPhone users

    Mines an iPhone X - and it’s all good here. We’ll be on the same OS, unless there’s some specific difference on the 11. No doubt they’ll soon let you know, and an update will be released in due course as they always do. (Not much use for the here and now though)
