    It seems that she got the idea from her gardener, regarding why to take out the dead tree roots. But anyway, I will let the tree surgeon to explain on the day and then move on! 
    So let her gardener deal with it. Let he who plants the seed reap the reward :D

    This is probably what her gardener has told her which is why she thinks the roots should be removed.
    But, like branches that grow over the fence, if it happens on her land, she has to deal with it.
