$39k is just over £30k GBP

US advertised prices don't have sales tax included.
UK prices do. £30k+vat is £36k.

Pre-order page for Tesla UK gives basically no detail and no timeline, but says you can give Elon £100 if you'd like and you may get a truck of whatever the final spec turns out to be at some point in the future.

Furthermore, if the $39k is correct, simply adjusting dollar price to sterling at today's exchange rate is not how the car market works.  Look at this example:
